Coach/Admin Resources
We must have a current Administrator Reg Form on file for you for each year! The Registrar needs to have this BEFORE you take the field with the players. Risk Managment All administrators who will be on the field or interact with the players MUST be Risk Managed. It is a simple process involving completion of a form and getting your fingerprints scanned. View CalSouth's Risk Management FAQ page. Live Scan Locations in San Diego County Be sure to bring this form with you! Request For Live Scan Service A suggestion, call the location first. Some of these are mom and pop shops who don't necessarily hold regular hours. Be prepared to pay a fee between $15 and $25, this is your expense. There is no reimbursement from the league. Live Scan – Risk Management
All administrators
in Valley Center Youth Soccer
MUST go through Risk Management (RM)
This includes – coaches, asst coaches, team parents, board members and anyone else who will be working with players in any capacity
Once your RM status is approved at CalSouth, you are good until 2099 unless you run afoul of the law. If you have not been through RM under the VCYS/CalSouth umbrella, you will need to go get fingerprinted at Live Scan. Yes, even if you’ve been fingerprinted for a school district, law enforcement agency, government agency, or anywhere else. We agree, the systems should all talk to each other – the bummer is that they don’t.
You can get Live Scanned at:
Live Scan of North County
Escondido
to confirm someone will be in the office to help you
(corner of Grape and Second)
Let them know you are with VCYS and they will bill us for your fee ($17 I think) or you can pay it and save the league a few bucks! ![]() FROM THE CAL SOUTH WEBSITE The Certification Process
Every Cal South coach must meet the requirements of the Coaching Education Department as described in the chart. This includes holding a Cal South Coaching License, a license from another US Youth Soccer State Association, or a United States Soccer Federation National Coaching License.

Sponsor banner example - Here is a good example of what we’d like to see on the banners in terms of the importance of the sponsor. Note how the Sponsor’s Name is prominently displayed at the top in large lettering. The banners are about the sponsor first, team second, players, coaches and administrator third.
